The Bravo! Performing Arts Festival for young audiences will take Vantaa by storm in March
Hop on a roller coaster ride, listen to a grain of sand or step into a painting! The Bravo! Performing Arts Festival for young audiences takes over the culture centres in the Helsinki metropolitan area from the 15th to the 24th of March in 2024 with its international high-quality performances. Stimulating to the senses, highly skilled and a little surprising performances for children, young people and families.

The programme offers jewels of performing arts from e.g. Belgium, Sweden, Norway and Brazil. Dance, circus, participatory performances, shows for all senses, workshops and much more.
The Bravo! Performing Arts Festival is staged for the 12th time in cooperation with ASSITEJ Finland (an organisation for theatre & performing arts for children and young people), and the cities of the metropolitan area.
To celebrate Vantaa's 50th anniversary, Vantaa is offering unique cultural experiences in the city's culture centers. The city offers free performances for early childhood education and school groups, and there is also programme free of charge for families. Most of the performances are speechless and therefore suitable for speakers of all languages.
The Bravo! festival kicks off on Saturday 16 March with the opening ceremony at Oodi in Helsinki, and in Vantaa you can get into the festival atmosphere at the Children's Cultural Centre Pessi Children's Saturday. The week will feature high-quality performances for all ages, groups and families.
On Tuesday 19 March, the stage of Kulttuuritalo Martinus House will be transformed into an artist's studio as the Belgian Plock! performance invites families to a hilarious full-scale circus show where the paint doesn't always stay inside the lines.
On Wednesday 20 March, an interactive BATU performance from Brazil will take over the Children's Cultural Centre Pessi, where children will also be able to take on the role of artists themselves.
The festival week will culminate on Saturday 23 March with porgramme around Vantaa! At Lumosali with the Lovni sensory theatre performance, children and adults alike can enter the enchanting world created by the Belgian performers Isabelle and Zoé. At the Mosaiikki City Culture Centre, you can take part in both art workshops and inspiring theatre as the Finnish-Czech Krepsko Theatre Group’s Fabsurdia invites you into a wordless world where anything strange is possible.
