Impact of Talentia's political walkout on Early Childhood Education on Tuesday, February 6, 2024
The trade union for graduated social workers, Talentia has announced that it will organise a walkout on Tuesday 6th of February 2024 at 14.00–16.00. The work stoppage will last until the end of the shift. The work stoppage affects Talentia’s members who are employed by the City of Vantaa.
Vantaa Early Childhood Education will monitor the situation closely. We will strive to keep the early childhood education units open as usual and try to arrange the children’s early childhood education during the walkout by internal arrangements. It is possible that some units will have to reduce their activities after 14:00. If a reduction is necessary, the units will contact guardians on Tuesday 6th of February.
Talentia does not target the strike at the employer or the valid contract of employment, the reason for the walkout is the acts taken by the Finnish government.
