The Integration event, aimed at professionals and actors in immigrant integration and refugee reception, is organized every two years. In the upcoming year 2026, the event will be hosted by the City of Vantaa and the KEHA Centre. The event is co-funded by the European Union.
The exact venue and dates for the Integration 2026 event will be announced in December.
Come and help build the Integration 2026 programme!
Do you want to influence the programme of the Integration event? We are launching the programme planning for the Integration 2026 event with a workshop in December.
The workshop will be held on 10.12.2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM as a remote event (Teams), and its main language will be Finnish.
In the workshop, you will discuss your own and others' programme and theme ideas in small groups. In addition to planning, you will hear about the Integration event concept at the beginning of the session and receive more information about next year's event planning schedule. The content themes and ideas generated in the workshop will be gathered and utilized as part of the framework planning for the Integration 2026 event programme. Furthermore, ready programme ideas created in the workshop can be submitted to the Integration 2026 call for programme ideas, which will be opened later.
We value equality and non-discrimination and hope to include people of different genders, ages, backgrounds, organizations, and regions in the planning and implementation. If there are more registrants than needed, we will prioritize giving opportunities to first-time participants. Please remember to discuss and agree upon your participation according to your organization's practices. 40 participants will be selected for the workshop. We also aim to facilitate 1–2 small groups in English and/or Swedish, depending on the participants.
Register for the workshop by 3.12.2025 in Webropol
Programme preparation progress
We want to give everyone interested the opportunity to participate in the planning of the Integration 2026 event programme. Therefore, the preparation and participation opportunities are tiered, and the program will be prepared:
- In the workshop on 10.12.2025 (40 spots)
- In the programme group (application for the group opens after the workshop, 10–15 spots)
- Based on the open programme idea call (call opens in 2026, open to everyone).
Following these steps, the selected programme group will compile the Integration 2026 programme proposal based on the collected ideas and other content suggestions. The final programme will be decided by the event's management team.
The chosen method of organization aims to ensure that the planning is participatory and transparent. The programme as a whole strives for clarity, consistent quality, and diversity. Additionally, the goal is to ensure that the programme content deepens the expertise of professionals and offers new perspectives. More background information on programme planning will be provided at the workshop.
Warmly welcome to join us in creating the Integration 2026 programme!
Regards,
KEHA Centre and the City of Vantaa
