Processing of rock material begins in the Plootukallio area
Construction of the Vantaa Light Rail is progressing in the Aviapolis area. The next phase is the processing of rock material in the area. The location of the processing facility is marked in orange on the map.

According to current plans, processing will begin at the turn of April and May. The processing of rock material will cause some noise. Noisy work is carried out on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The processing phase is expected to last for several months. We apologise for any disturbance caused.
Having our own processing facility allows us to utilise the excavated rock material directly on site. Local processing reduces construction costs and emissions by decreasing the need for material procurement and transportation. Crushed concrete from demolished buildings in the area will also be used in construction.
