During the summer, the carpet washing sites are available to all residents free of charge. There are 11 carpet washing sites in Vantaa.

The carpet washing sites are equipped with carpet washing basins, carpet wringers and drying racks. The water to the washing sites comes from the municipal water supply network and the wastewater is discharged into the municipal sewage network.

Remember to clean up after using the washing site, close the taps and put your litter in the bin. This makes carpet w…ashing more pleasant for everyone. This also helps to keep popular carpet washing sites operational throughout the summer.

The use of carpet washing sites decreases when autumn comes as the weather gets cooler and damp air slows down the drying of the carpets. The washing sites are closed before the first frost arrives because if the water freezes in the pipes, it can cause damage.
