Have you recently moved to Vantaa? Would you like to learn more about the services near your home and meet other new residents of Vantaa? The City of Vantaa and its partners organize welcome events for new residents. The next Welcome to Vantaa event will be held in Tikkurila in 2026.

The city walks alongside the people of Vantaa.
We want every new resident to find the services they need in Vantaa, as well as meaningful activities and hobbies. It’s also important for new residents to find communities and get information about their opportunities to participate and make a difference.
The City of Vantaa and its partners organize welcome events for new residents.
These events take place in different areas of Vantaa on a rotating basis.
The next Welcome to Vantaa event will be held in Tikkurila.

Participation is free of charge.
However, advance registration is required.
Welcome to Vantaa event

Apply to become a partner in the welcome event!
The welcome events are organized in cooperation with Vantaa residents and other actors who offer activities, services, and advice to Vantaa residents.
The search for event partners will open on Monday, February 2, on this page. Through the application process, organizations can apply to be presenters at the event's stand fair and also suggest an open program.
The stand fair will provide event visitors with up-to-date information on services and settling in Vantaa. The open program can be, for example, a prepared speech or performance.
The event offers an opportunity to:
- meet new Vantaa residents in a relaxed environment
- increase awareness of your organization
- network with other participants
- help build a community-minded Vantaa that welcomes all new residents.
We hope to receive applications from a wide range of organizations, such as the City of Vantaa's departments, welfare services, and associations.
In our selection process, we will emphasize local activities, public benefit, and a diversity of services that fits well with the event as a whole.
