The phased master plan for rail projects in Korso enables the implementation of new alignments for the Airport Rail Line and the Eastern Rail Line in the Korso area of Vantaa. The new rail connections designated in the plan will improve accessibility to Helsinki Airport and the Aviapolis area and support the strategic objective of developing Aviapolis into Finland’s leading hub for jobs and innovation.

The Petas–Piispankylä partial master plan enables the placement of a depot for Ring Rail Line commuter traffic in Petas or Keimola. The plan examines the scale and nature of employment-related functions in Petas, as well as the placement of commercial services and green connections in Piispankylä.

Jobs in Hakkila, small housing in Rekola, and expansion of Myyrmäki swimming hall
The Executive Board decided to submit the zoning plans for Rusokallio in Hakkila and the extension of the Myyrmäki sports hall for approval by the City Council. The amendment to the local detailed plan for Joukontie in Rekola was approved for public display.

In Rusokallio, Hakkila, a local recreation area and block areas for industrial, warehouse, and office buildings will be zoned. At the same time, the boundaries of Hakkilankulma Park and the street areas of Old Porvoo Road and Valkoisenlähteentie will be revised.

The detailed plan amendment for Joukontie in Rekola will allow an industrial area to be converted into blocks for small housing and detached houses. The area will permit the construction of semi-detached and detached houses, as well as single-family houses with one or two dwellings. At the same time, the Pihkala house built in the 1920s will be protected.

The amendment to the detailed plan for the Myyrmäki sports hall enables the expansion of the swimming facility. The extension responds to the growing population in Myyrmäki and increased use of the swimming hall.
