Temporary Traffic Arrangements Introduced on Lemmenkuja
Construction works at the Vaarala depot have progressed to Lemmenkuja, and from week 26 onwards, temporary traffic arrangements have been implemented. These arrangements will be modified as the work progresses.
Information on Traffic Arrangements and Construction Work
In the first phase of construction, the work area is located at the intersection of Fazerintie and Lemmenkuja. Due to the site boundaries, pedestrian and bicycle traffic is directed to pass the work area along the western side of Lemmenkuja.
The second phase of construction is expected to begin towards the end of July. At that point, Lemmenkuja will be taken into use as a work area, and vehicle traffic as well as pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be diverted to a temporary route on the eastern side of Lemmenkuja.
Excavation work on Lemmenkuja includes channel excavation in a trench for the construction of forthcoming municipal infrastructure. The works, including traffic arrangements, are expected to continue until the end of September 2026.
