Noisy Drilling and Rock Excavation Works to Begin on Rivieranraitio
Rock and stone drilling as well as rock excavation works will begin in September along the future tramway street connection on the Rivieranraitio. The works will cause significant noise in the area. The works are scheduled to start in Week 36.
Drilling and Rock Excavation Works Schedule

September to November 2026: Drilling and rock excavation.
The approximate location of the drilling and rock excavation works is shown on the attached map.
Noisy drilling and rock excavation activities will be carried out on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Impacts of Blasting
The excavation works will not affect traffic on Fazerintie or Kuussillantie.
Before each blast, a warning sound signal will be given in the area to alert people of the upcoming blast.
Vibration Monitoring
Vibrations caused by the excavation works will be monitored on site by a consultant specializing in blasting operations. Vibration meters will be installed at locations in the surrounding area determined by the consultant. Property owners and operators of the selected properties have been contacted separately regarding the installation of the monitoring equipment.
