Changes to traffic arrangements on Hakunilantie at the Hevoshaantie underpass
Rehabilitation works on the western side of the Hevoshaantie underpass have been completed, and construction will now move to the eastern side of the underpass. Traffic arrangements required for the new construction phase will be implemented in week 43, when traffic will be shifted to the western side of Hakunilantie. The underpass will remain open throughout the rehabilitation works.
Traffic arrangements will change in week 43
The rehabilitation of the Hevoshaantie underpass will enter its next phase in week 43. As work continues on the eastern side of the underpass, traffic will be diverted to the western side of Hakunilantie. The traffic lanes currently in use on the eastern side of the street will be converted into a work site area in the vicinity of the underpass.
The underpass will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists throughout the rehabilitation works.
The temporary traffic arrangements required for this construction phase are expected to remain in place until early 2027.
About the works
As part of the rehabilitation project, the deck structure of the Hevoshaantie underpass will be renovated and its edge structures reinforced in preparation for the future tramway. The rehabilitation is expected to continue until early 2027.
Temporary routes during construction can be viewed in the City of Vantaa's map service. The accompanying map shows the traffic arrangements and the construction site area.
