New rescue stations in Myyrmäki, Tikkurila, Korso, and Hakunila
Vantaa city executive board decided in its meeting on November 15, to ratify Myyrmäki, Tikkurila, Korso and Hakunila rescue stations’ needs assessments. To improve Keski-Uusimaa Rescue Department’s response times, Vantaa will need altogether four new rescue stations in the near future.
Results of Havukoski, Mikkola, and Länsimäki participatory budgeting
Since the spring, participatory budgeting—a process where the residents can influence how to spend city-allocated funds—has been going on in Havukoski, Mikkola, and Länsimäki. In participatory budgeting, the residents get to decide on how to spend €50,000 on developing each district.

Various permits are required to perform different activities in the municipality. Vantaa issues permits in its area for such activities as construction, event organisation, restaurant operations and the sale of tobacco products.

City council ratified Mikkola and Veromies plan alterations
The city council ratified the plan alteration for Mikkola expansion area. The meeting also ratified the alteration to Veromies local detailed plan.

Cooperation with residents on Vantaa light rail in the fall begins with a survey of future mobility
The survey charts where Vantaa residents would travel using the light rail. The survey will be utilized in planning the light rail.
Tikkurila in 2040 – Tikkurila's disposition plan available for public inspection
Vantaa City Executive Board decided to publish Tikkurila disposition plan 2020—describing the development of the Tikkurila major region until year 2040.
