Vantaa celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2024. We celebrate Vantaa citizens and Vantaa-ness by telling the stories of Vantaa residents. We would like to hear yours.
Participatory budgeting has helped to improve the wellbeing and social interaction of children and the young
During the Influential Day, arranged in April 2023, children and the young were invited to generate ideas on how to spend the participatory budgeting allocation. During the course of the year, we have implemented the ideas proposed by the children and the young.

Vantaa will once again implement the very popular playground meals
Vantaa will once again implement the very popular playground meals. Warm meals and picnic bags will be distributed free of charge to under-18-year-old Vantaa residents in various places around the city from June 5 to July 7, on weekdays at 11:00–12:00, or for as long as food is available.

In Vantaa, operating grants for the promotion of wellbeing and health are awarded to associations and organisations whose activities promote the wellbeing and health of Vantaa residents.
Grants for local civic activities
Grants for local civic activities may be awarded to activities organised by residents, associations and organisations that promote a sense of community and participation at a local or regional level in Vantaa.
