Student sports mean competitive sports between comprehensive schools in Vantaa. The activities are open to all pupils attending local comprehensive schools, including those who do not participate in competitive sports. Student sports competitions are organised in several different sports as competitions between the schools in Vantaa.

Pupils can sign up for competitions through their school's sports officer. Schools decide independently how they select representatives for sports with a school-sp…ecific participation quota.

Competitions in sports, such as swimming and ball games, between schools in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa (HEVO) are organised for both elementary and secondary school pupils. Some of the competitions have city-specific qualifications (mainly in team sports).
