New rescue stations in Myyrmäki, Tikkurila, Korso, and Hakunila
Vantaa city executive board decided in its meeting on November 15, to ratify Myyrmäki, Tikkurila, Korso and Hakunila rescue stations’ needs assessments. To improve Keski-Uusimaa Rescue Department’s response times, Vantaa will need altogether four new rescue stations in the near future.
Vantaa Light Rail
The light rail is a significant investment into Vantaa’s future. It will have a leading role to play in stimulating the economy, since it will bring about new jobs and new business prospects along public transport connections.

The survey charts where Vantaa residents would travel using the light rail. The survey will be utilized in planning the light rail.
Tikkurila in 2040 – Tikkurila's disposition plan available for public inspection
Vantaa City Executive Board decided to publish Tikkurila disposition plan 2020—describing the development of the Tikkurila major region until year 2040.
