News

Vantaa City Executive Board decided in its meeting on August 9 to publish Tikkurila disposition plan 2020—describing the development of the Tikkurila major region until year 2040—for public inspection.

The disposition plan aims at attaining a Tikkurila that has everything to satisfy the requirements posed by urban structure and living: housing, jobs, mobility, as well as recreation and green areas. The disposition plan allows for an increase of 10,000 new residents and 4,000 new jobs in the area.

In addition, a temporary preparatory body was set to prepare for the future Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county, as stipulated by legislation. Legislation on the health and social services reform entered into force on July 1, 2021. According to the act, a wellbeing services county’s temporary body is responsible for preparing the wellbeing services county’s operations and administration until its regional council has been chosen and the regional state administrative agency has started its operations.
