Network of Aina oppiva Vantaa
Vantaa is a member of UNESCO Network of Global Learning Cities. The network shares knowledge, skills and experiences for lifelong learning, and has a membership of 255 cities around the globe. The work is framed by the Agenda 2030 goals of United Nations.
The Child Friendly City Initiative
The City of Vantaa is now a Child Friendly City. Finnish Committee for UNICEF granted the City of Vantaa the Child Friendly Cities recognition in January 2024.

Permits and announcements
Various permits are required to perform different activities in the municipality. Vantaa issues permits in its area for such activities as construction, event organisation, restaurant operations and the sale of tobacco products.
Avia network
The Avia network is a cooperation forum with members from the private, public and third sector interested in the development of the Helsinki Airport area and air traffic, being significantly affected by their importance and impact.
Economy and strategy
The City of Vantaa strategy is compiled for four years per council terms. The council term strategy specifies the city's vision, values, strategic focuses and goals.
Vantaa nominated as the European Rising Innovative City
Vantaa is one of eight cities that the European Innovation Council (EIC) has chosen as the European Rising Innovative City semi-finalists.
