Vantaa now: an international city of innovation
Vantaa is home to nearly a quarter of a million people and more than 15 000 businesses.
Kartanonkoski is one of the new residential areas in Vantaa. It is located in the Aviapolis major area, close to a cluster of businesses, jobs and the airport.
Vantaaʼs population has grown at an average annual rate of 4 000 inhabitants over the last five years. The cityʼs financial situation is stable and debt has been reduced over the long term.
Vantaa is divided into seven major areas, each with its own character. They are linked by green oases of nature. Trees, forests, rivers and parks are never far away in Vantaa.

Vantaa is also the most international city in Finland. More than 120 native languages are spoken here.
Vantaaʼs diverse cultural, sports and welfare services bring vitality to the city in their own relaxed way. Many traditional events were originally initiated by the residents themselves and reflect the traditional sense of community in the neighbourhoods.

The development of education and teaching is also a Vantaa competence. It also provides a good basis for a multicultural environment.
Under the leadership of Vantaa, seven municipalities have launched a joint learning project called DigiOne. The aim is to create a digital service platform that combines different learning systems, data and services into an easily usable whole.
Early childhood education, primary and secondary education have created a strong network for Vantaa residents to build on in their working lives.

Vantaaʼs transport network supports the entire metropolitan area and creates good conditions for businesses and residents alike. Vantaa is also home to an airport. The airport's attractiveness makes the city number one in Finland with 2.7 billion in annual tourism receipts (2022).
