Changes to pedestrian, cycling and bus stop arrangements on Länsimäentie during week 36
Traffic arrangements on Länsimäentie will change next week in the area around the roundabout at Maratontie and Länsimäentie.
Preparatory work related to the construction of a temporary bridge and the demolition of the existing bridge will begin in the area.
Due to the works, the pedestrian and cycling underpass located north of the roundabout will be closed. In addition, two bus stops will be temporarily relocated to new locations starting next week.
Bus stop V9105 will be relocated on Länsimäentie. The stop is currently located north of the Maratontie–Vartiotie roundabout. The new location will be south of the roundabout.
As the construction site expands, bus stop V9121 will also be relocated to the western edge of the new traffic arrangement.
The locations of the new bus stops are shown on the map below. HSL will provide more detailed information about the changes to the bus stops.
Traffic will be diverted to the new route during the night between Monday, 31 August, and Tuesday, 1 September.
