Lake Kuusijärviʼs summer season 2023 is underway - access to the area is made easier with the new 712 bus service
The summer season in the popular Lake Kuusijärvi is just beginning. The summer season will bring improvements to Kuusijärviʼs public transport links, as well as new signposts, picnic shelters and a campfire site for local hikers. Visitors are advised to arrive by public transport or muscle power, as the parking area is congested.

Public transport connections to Lake Kuusijärvi will be improved this summer with the introduction of the new 712 bus service, which will start operating in the area at weekends. The bus will start operating during the Midsummer week and will run on Saturdays and Sundays from Tikkurila via Hakunila to Kuusijärvi until the end of October. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is also a Sipoonkorpi Hop-On Hop-Off bus to Kuusijärvi, which runs from Tikkurila via Koivukylä.
The parking area is currently undergoing expansion and renovation work, as a result of which part of the parking area will be out of use for the rest of this summer. The renovation work will be completed in September, after which the entire car park will be open for use.
The new fire pit and seating areas will be completed by the end of June
An area for local hiking is being completed on the east side of Lake Kuusijärvi, close to the shore. The area will include one covered and two uncovered fire pits, benches and tables, and lighting. Two seating areas will also be created, from which you can admire the lake view from the water's edge. The fireplace and seating areas will open to visitors at the end of June.
The route from the beach on the north side of the lake to the new fireplaces has been made accessible, including by widening and levelling the existing path. In 2024, the accessible route will be extended to the car parks.
During the summer, new signage will also be installed in the area to inform visitors about the services and routes in the area. The new signs will, among other things, direct visitors to the Sipoonkorvi trails.
