Summer season passes will not be sold for Kuusijärvi electric saunas due to renovation
The electric sauna and washing facilities in Kuusijärvi’s main building will be closed during July and August because of renovations. For this reason, summer season passes for the electric saunas will not be available from May 1 to August 31. Before the renovation begins, visitors may use the electric saunas with a single-visit ticket purchased on site at the ticket office.
Electric saunas and shower facilities are located in the Kuusijärvi main building.
Moisture has been detected in the electric sauna facilities of the main building, and structural repairs are therefore required. The exact schedule for the renovation and related usage restrictions have not yet been finalized, but more detailed information will be provided before the renovation begins. The renovation consists of the following work:
- renewal of the saunas and sauna heaters
- renovation of the washing facilities, including the installation of underfloor heating
- replacement of the changing room furnishings and repainting of the walls
- replacement of the suspended ceilings in the public restrooms
- improvements to ventilation
- replacement of windows and doors
- upgrading lighting to LED fixtures.
During the renovation, the smoke saunas, café-restaurant, and customer service will function as usual.
The electric saunas will be opened at the latest on September 1, 2026, when selling season passes for the fall begins. The fall season lasts from September 1 to December 31.
