Traffic arrangements at the intersection of Keihästie and Länsimäentie to change from Monday, 28 September 2026
New traffic arrangements will be introduced at the intersection of Keihästie and Länsimäentie on Monday, 28 September 2026. The changes are part of the previously announced two-week closure of Keihästie.
During the closure, traffic at the intersection of Länsimäentie and Pallastunturintie will be diverted over the preload embankment constructed on site. This arrangement will allow the roadside area along Länsimäentie to be converted into a construction zone.
During the closure of Keihästie, we will build a preload embankment extending from Keihästie so that it will later connect to the existing embankment currently used by traffic.
The closure of Keihästie will end on 12 October 2026, when the intersection will reopen to traffic in the direction of Keihästie as well. Water and sewer works will continue along the western edge of the area after that.
