Extension of the parking lot available as of November 1, 2022
Kuusijärvi parking lot’s extension has been completed, and it was taken into use at the beginning of November. There are 180 parking places in the extension to the parking lot. Building of the old parking lot will commence next. The old parking lot will be closed to customers for the duration of the construction work.
Arrival
Kuusijärvi is open every day, all year round. Kuusijärvi café-restaurant, meeting facilities, smoke saunas and electric saunas are open every day 9:00–21:00. Kuusijärvi customer service is open every day 9:00–21:00.
Arrival by car
Kuusijärvi car park offers free parking for approximately 250 cars. Due to ongoing construction and extension work in the car park, the number of available parking spaces has been reduced by half, to approximately 120 spaces. You may park for up to 6 hours. The car park is very busy during warm summer days.
Kuusijärvi car park information board
The main information board of Kuusijärvi nature and recreational area is located at the edge of the car park. The information board guides you to outdoor trails and services. The ground rules of Kuusijärvi and Sipoonkorpi National Park can be found on the main information board. Maps of Kuusijärvi and the national park can be found on the board.
Car park extension in progress
The existing car park is being upgraded and extended to the north. The number of available parking spaces will increase by 160, thereby bringing the total to 390 spaces. The car park will be resurfaced and green lanes with trees and vegetation will be built to divide the space. The car park will be built in two phases to maintain parking availability in the area during construction. First, the northern car park extension will be built and its construction will be complete in summer 2022. After this, construction will continue in the southern part of the new car park. The car park will be fully finished in early autumn 2023.
Arrival by bus
Public transport
You can also reach Kuusijärvi by public transport. Kuusijärvi is located 8 kilometres away from Tikkurila and Korso train stations. You can hop on bus number 736 at Tikkurila or Korso train station to make your way to Kuusijärvi ecologically. The bus ride takes around 45 minutes. The bus stops are located on Lahdentie next to Kuusijärvi nature and recreational area. You can find the routes and timetables in the HSL Journey Planner.
Sipoonkorpi Hop-On Hop-Off
The Sipoonkorpi Hop-On Hop-Off bus service has concluded for the year 2022. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus transported hikers to Sipoonkorpi National Park and Kuusijärvi on Saturdays and Sundays from May to the end of September. The service was provided in cooperation with the town of Sipoo; Taksikuljetus Oy was responsible for transport. Thank you passengers!
By bicycle
Bicycle racks can be found in the vicinity of the Kuusijärvi car park and near the shore on the western side of the beach. Bicycle parking will also be updated as part of the new car park construction.
