Construction begins at the southern end of Hakunilantie
The preparatory works for the Vantaa Light Rail will begin at the southern end of Hakunilantie during week 20. This phase starts with changes to the traffic arrangements and the delineation of work areas. These arrangements will affect pedestrian and cycling routes.
Information about the works
Once the traffic arrangements are in place, removal of topsoil and tree stumps will begin, along with cleaning of the bedrock. The estimated duration of the preparatory works is approximately two weeks.
Traffic arrangements
During this phase, the pedestrian connection on the western side of Hakunilantie will remain open up to the bus stop, but it will be closed beyond that point towards Kuussillantie. Pedestrian and cycling routes will be directed to the eastern side of the street with clear signs and traffic markings.
