Traffic arrangements will change on Hakunilantie due to renovation of the Hevoshaantie underpass
The renovation of the Hevoshaantie underpass will begin in early June, and the traffic arrangements required by the works will be implemented in week 23. The changes will affect both vehicle traffic and pedestrian and cycling connections. The underpass will remain in use throughout the renovation.
Traffic arrangements
The renovation works will close the lane for southbound traffic, and traffic will be diverted to the eastern side of Hakunilantie, where it will run alongside northbound traffic. The pedestrian and cycling route on the eastern side of the street will be closed during the works. These traffic arrangements are expected to remain in place for approximately three months, after which vehicle traffic will be moved to the western side of the street.
Information about the works
As part of the renovation of the Hevoshaantie underpass, the deck structure of the underpass will be repaired and its edge will be reinforced for the future tram line. The renovation is expected to continue until the end of 2026.
