News

Traffic arrangements on Hakunilantie will change during week 19. Construction work will move to the eastern side of the street, and pedestrian and cycling routes will be partly redirected back to the western side. These arrangements will not affect motor vehicle traffic. The Raudikkopolku bus stops on Hakunilantie will be temporarily taken out of service on Monday 4 May, and the Hevoshaanpolku bus stops will be relocated approximately 100 metres to the intersection with Hiirakkokuja.

Information about the works

Work related to water supply, municipal engineering and the construction of the new street area will move to the eastern side of the street between Raudikkokuja and Hevoshaantie. During week 18, pedestrian connections to the new temporary bus stops will be prepared. The delineation of the work areas and changes to the traffic arrangements will begin in week 19 after the temporary stops have been taken into use. This work phase, including the traffic arrangements, is estimated to last approximately four months.

Pedestrian and cycling routes

During the construction period, pedestrian and cycling routes on the eastern side of the street will largely be out of use and redirected to detour routes clearly marked with signs and traffic control devices. The routes can be found in the City of Vantaa’s map service and are also shown on the map below. The map also indicates the locations of the new and discontinued bus stops.

More detailed information about the bus stop changes is available on HSL’s website.
