Construction on Hakunilantie begins on the section between Raudikkokuja and Hevoshaantie
On Hakunilantie, changes to traffic arrangements and the delineation of construction areas will begin in week 15. The traffic arrangements concern the west side of the street and will cause changes to pedestrian and cycling routes. Vehicle access will remain unchanged.
Information about the work
On the section of Hakunilantie between Raudikkokuja and Hevoshaantie, the first phase includes utility relocations on the west side of the street, construction of municipal infrastructure, and relocation of street lighting. Before the actual construction begins, traffic arrangements will be modified and work areas will be marked off, after which the work will start with the removal of the existing surface structures. The work now being initiated will allow the current roadway to be widened toward the west and provide space for temporary bus stops during construction.
Pedestrian and cycling routes
During the construction period, pedestrian and cycling routes on the west side of the street will be out of use and redirected to detour routes with clear signs and traffic markings. The routes can be found in the City of Vantaa’s map service and are also marked on the map below.
