Introduction
Kuusijärvi beach is a popular destination with winter swimmers. At the Kuusijärvi winter swimming spot, you can find an ice hole with steps and some unheated changing rooms.
Winter Swimming 2026-2027
Kuusijärvi's winter swimming area includes an ice hole, stairs leading into the water, and changing cabins. Winter swimmers also have access to the changing facilities in the Karhunpesä building.
- Winter swimming season fee: €55
- Personal Karhunpesä access key: €31 (purchased as your own key)
Sales of season passes and keys begin on 1 September 2026 at Vantaa Info in Tikkurila. If you already have a key from the 2025-2026 season, the new season can be updated onto the same key at Vantaa Info.
The key is personal, so please be prepared to verify your identity. Transactions can also be handled by an authorized representative with a power of attorney.
Vantaa Residents Aged 70 and Over
Vantaa residents aged 70 and over are entitled to a free winter swimming season pass at Kuusijärvi, provided they have a Karhunpesä access key. The season pass can be updated onto the key at Vantaa Info in Tikkurila upon presentation of a valid ID.
If you do not already have a key, you must purchase one for €31. In future years, the winter swimming access can also be updated onto the key free of charge.
