Vantaa's Kuusijärvi
Introduction
Kuusijärvi has Vantaa's most popular swimming beach, which is open in summer and winter. The beach has a sandy bottom and a designated children's area.
Kuusijärvi has a public beach, a grassy area and piers. The lakebed is sandy and the shoreline is approximately 150 metres long. An area between the pier and shore where the water is no more than about 1 metre deep has been marked specifically for small children. At the end of the beach piers, the water is about 2.5 metres deep on average. The lakebed is sandy up until the end of the piers where it turns muddy.

- Changing rooms and outdoor shower
- Two outdoor gyms
- Children’s playground
- Volleyball and basketball courts.
The city of Vantaa provides a lifeguard for the summer season. The Kuusijärvi water quality is monitored regularly. Bathing dogs at Kuusijärvi beach is prohibited.
Swimming in winter
Kuusijärvi is also a popular destination for winter swimming. Vantaa's winter swimming locations are situated at the beaches of Kuusijärvi and Vetokannas.
