Open meeting places
Vantaa has several facilities where you can spend time, meet other people and engage in communal activities. Open meeting places are available for all ages.
Youth centre activities
Young people can engage in many fun activities at youth centres. There are youth workers present at youth centres with whom you can chat with and ask for tips and advice or even help with studying and job-hunting.
Safer space
A safe city constitutes the foundation for the residents’ good life. In Vantaa, safer spaces are of particular importance, since numerous people of all ages and backgrounds use the city's premises.
Rental of youth centre facilities
The City of Vantaa offers various facilities to support youth activities. For example, you can reserve, for example, studios for band activities, recreational camps and youth centres from the city's youth services.
Reservation of residential activity facilities
Local communities/organisations and private individuals can reserve residential activity facilities for their use.
Food control
The Environment Centre of Vantaa controls the safety and health-related quality of food as well as compliance with food regulations.
Vantaa innovation competition—open to everybody—searches for urban innovations of all sizes
Vantaa innovation competition, opening in mid-April, is open to everybody. A sum total of €300 000 will be divided between the best ideas. The competition seeks solutions for everyday services, thriving city centers, and combating climate change.
Ukraine Help Center Vantaa to open in Koivukylä on April 11, to help those fleeing from the war in Ukraine
Vantaa will open a help center serving people fleeing from the war in Ukraine on Monday, April 11. Ukraine Help Center Vantaa will operate on Koivukylä citizens' house premises at Hakopolku 2.
Recreation camps
The Kukonnotko Recreation Camp in Heinola and the Palajärvi Recreation Camp in Vihti provide an excellent setting for camping, socialising, relaxation, training courses and private events.
Grants for health and welfare promotion
Organizations, communities, or action groups whose operations promote Vantaa residents' health and welfare may be entitled to the grants. The next application period is on February 1-28, 2023.
