Construction of the Vantaa Light Rail Begins on Fazerintie and Rivieranraitio
Construction work is progressing to the area where the new light rail connection between Fazerintie and Rivieranraitio will be built. Work will begin in early August with a site inspection, tree felling, and preparatory construction activities.
The construction phase starting on Monday, 3 August 2026, will begin with a site inspection and tree felling. After this, work will proceed with municipal infrastructure construction as well as the installation of site fences and diversion routes.
During the initial phase, work will mainly take place outside the existing roadway and pedestrian and cycling path areas. The construction work may cause occasional minor noise disturbance. We will provide more detailed information about the upcoming phases of the project as work progresses.
