Demolition works and traffic arrangements

The demolition of the bridges will take place during the nights between Sunday and Monday according to the following schedule:

Hakunila shopping centre pedestrian overpass 14–15 June 2026

  • Traffic will be closed for five (5) hours between 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Raudikkopolku pedestrian overpass 21–22 June 2026

  • Traffic will be closed for four (4) hours between 11:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

Hevoshaanpolku pedestrian overpass 27–28 June 2026

  • Traffic will be closed for four (4) hours between 11:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

During the demolition work, vehicle traffic will be completely closed at the work site. A diversion route for motor vehicles to the other side of the closure will be via Hevoshaantie. Pedestrians and cyclists will be directed along signposted alternative routes.

The construction site will be fenced off to ensure safe movement for both area users and demolition workers. We recommend allowing extra time for travel in the area and observing the reduced speed limits.

Buses will operate on diversion routes due to the closure of traffic on Hakunilantie. More detailed information on the diversion routes is available on the HSL website: https://www.hsl.fi/en/hsl/news/service-updates/2026/06/bus-routes-570-587-717-717k-and-717n-to-be-diverted-on-the-night-of-14-june
