Guidelines for land-use and housing policy were updated and changes in appropriations were decided on
Vantaa city council decided in its meeting on October 10, 2022, on the guidelines for the city's land-use and housing policy as part of the new council’s strategy.
The guidelines support the city in managing its land use and plot markets, ensure preconditions for sufficient and versatile housing production, and create possibilities for to satisfy the needs of trade and commerce. The guidelines for the land-use and housing policy were last updated in 2018.
In addition, the city council decided on changes in appropriations regarding the 2022 budget's operational economy: one of the changes is that altogether €6.2 million of the appropriations of City Strategy and Management will be targeted at other departments, and the operating income and costs of the Health and Social Welfare department will be increased.
The city council decided to transfer €20 000 as award money of the innovation competition from General Administration to the Urban Culture department. The operating income of the Health and Social Welfare department—with the exception of specialized care—was decided to be increased by €17 700 000 and the operating costs by €57 100 000.
