On this webpage, you can find instructions for applying for the payment of wage subsidies.
Applying for payment
If a wage subsidy decision has been made on July 1, 2023, or afterwards, you can only apply for wage subsidy payment online using the Local Government e-Services in accordance with the decision. In the service, you can submit an application, reply to requests for further information, supplement the application and receive decisions pertaining to your case.
Log in to the e-Services using your personal bank identifiers, mobile certificate or certificate card. The e-Services provide instructions on filling out the application and will send notifications about the progress of the process.
We process wage subsidy payment applications in the order they arrive.
Wage subsidy payment period
Apply for wage subsidy payment every month for the wage payment periods ending during the calendar month. You can apply for the subsidy for several payment periods at the same time. The application will not expire in the middle of the subsidy period. If the subsidy period or employment relationship of the person hired with the subsidy ends in the middle of the payment period, the payment period will also end at the same time.
Apply for payment before the deadline
Submit the payment application to the City of Vantaa through the Local Government TE e-Services within three months of the end of the payment period. If you do not apply for payment before the deadline, the City of Vantaa will not pay the subsidy for the payment period. If the wage subsidy period or employment relationship of the person hired with the subsidy ends in the middle of the payment period, the payment period will also end at the same time. Any decision to continue the wage subsidy will be seen as a new subsidy period, even if it begins immediately after the end of the previous subsidy period.
Make sure the payment period corresponds with the wage payment period provided in the Incomes Register
The wage and benefit information provided by employers to the Incomes Register is used in the payment of wage subsidies. The payment period should be set to correspond with the wage payment period provided in the Incomes Register. This way, the wage payment periods will come straight from the Incomes Register to the payment period application. If your wage payment period is two weeks, this corresponds to two or even three two-week wage payment periods per calendar month in the Incomes Register.
You can speed up the processing of the payment application by also providing any additional information to the Incomes Register that is necessary for justifying the payment of the subsidy.
Payment application appendices
If the employment office that has required appendices in accordance with additional conditions in the subsidy decision, please submit these as appendices to the first payment application.
Wage costs covered by the wage subsidy
The wage costs of the payment period, among others, are itemized in the wage subsidy payment application every month. Wage costs covered by the wage subsidy are the total sum of the gross pay and employer’s indirect expenses. Holiday bonuses paid to the employee can be included in the wage costs. The employer’s indirect expenses, provided in euros, are the employer’s statutory costs, such as:
- social security,
- employment pension,
- accident insurance and
