This is how you can get the Sports Card 65+ benefit

You can get the benefit from the swimming pool cashiers as of April 1, 2026. You will need to bring your ID with you (passport, identity card, driver’s license, or KELA photocard). You must also provide your home address.

The Sports Card 65+ benefit is registered to the swimming hall and gym access card for either six months or one year at a time.
•    €25 per 6 months
•    €50 per 1 year.

In addition, a fee of €5.50 will be charged for the swimming hall and gym access card. If you already have an access card, the access card fee will not be charged.

You can buy time for your access card either from the swimming pool cashier or on the online store. You can shop on the online store after you have received the access card number and the PIN code from the cashier.
Please note that the Sports Card is a discount product that cannot be paid for with the sports benefit offered by the employer.

This is how you use the Sports Card

Once you have purchased the Sports Card benefit, you can go directly to swimming pool and the gym by showing your card at a gate or a reading device. The exception is Korso Swimming Hall where you must present your Sports Card at the cash register. Swimming pools’ cashiers will instruct you in how to use the Sports Card, if necessary.

You can use the Sports Card at the following sports facilities:

•    Korso Swimming Hall during all opening hours.
•    The gym of the Koivukylä Senior Citizen’s Center during all opening hours.

The right to an assistant

If you need an assistant at the gym or swimming hall due to health reasons or a weakened functional ability, you can separately apply for the right to an assistant. The role of the assistant is to support the assisted person for safe and smooth mobility and for training in the swimming hall and gym.

If you have the right to an assistant, an adult assistant may accompany you to the swimming hall or gym free of charge.

Please note that we may require grounds for granting the right to an assistant in writing (e.g., medical report or other official document). Granting of the right of assistance: Call tel. 050 314 6402, Mon-Tue and Thurs at 9:00–11:00.

Those entitled to an assistant must always transact at the cash register where the assistant receives the required access card.

  • Please note that if you have already been granted an assistant card in connection with a Sports Card 70+ card, you must present the assistant card at the swimming hall’s cash register when getting the Sports Card 65+ card.
  • An EU Disability Card with the “A” symbol gives you the right to be accompanied by an adult assistant free of charge while swimming and using the gym. In this case, you do not need to separately apply for the right to an assistant for the Sports Card. You can learn more about the EU Disability Card's terms and conditions and application process on Kela's website.
