The conference moderators
Elisabeth Le Masson is the Special advisor to the General Manager of the Val d’Oise – Paris Region Development Agency, specifically in charge of international partnerships and of the aeronautical sector.
She is the founder and organizer of the annual international conference on sustainable airport areas.
She worked during 40 years for Groupe ADP, the first world airport group, where she held numerous managerial positions in duty-free, real estate, terminal operations. She has been responsible during 15 years for the economic development, employment, and social inclusion in both CDG and Orly airport areas.
She has two diplomas from two prestigious French universities, HEC International Business School and Paris Institute of Political Studies.
In her capacity as French Foreign Trade Advisor, she is Vice-President of the France Attractiveness Committee, Vice-President of the Aeronautic-Space-Defense Expertise Committee and Vice-President of the Paris Region Executive Committee.
She was awarded with the French Legion d'Honneur.
Miikka Neuvonen works as a startup ecosystem manager at Business Vantaa helping startup founders on their journeys to success. Organizing international events, opening doors and introducing relevant stakeholders to each other is his cup of tea.
Previously he worked on a variety of roles in the world of sports both nationally and on an international level. Always dreaming of new adventures and experiences, family and hobbies keeps him both busy and motivated in his free time.
Danyang Shen (Sandy) is an expert in Air Logistics & Airport Economy with over 15 years of experience at the Civil Aviation University of China.
She currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Air Logistics, School of Transportation Science and Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Planning and Management and was a Visiting Scholar at the Florida Institute of Technology in the United States from 2015 to 2016.
Ulla Ruuskanen is working as a Senior Advisor and Manager for Avia Network, co-creation platform for the Airport City Aviapolis and Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The network was founded in 2017 and is funded by the City and Helsinki Uusimaa Regional Council.
The Avia network’s aim is to create the world’s most sustainable, attractive, and accessible airport ecosystem in the world. The Helsinki Uusimaa Regional Council and the City of Vantaa together implement the Avia network, which is a partnering, development and information-exchange network consisting of public and private sector actors working to improve the connectivity of the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and Aviapolis area.
Ulla is a marketing communications professional with a strong background in digitalization and business development. She has worked in account management roles in the advertisement industry and in two international growth companies before moving to Lapland, where she lived for two years and worked for the municipality of Sodankylä in a development role focused on destination marketing, Lapland brand and strategy work for Luosto ski resort, where she lived.
After returning from Lapland to Helsinki she started to work for the city of Vantaa, first in the housing fair project and communications department before starting to manage Avia Network.
Ulla holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business development.
Pieter is an expert in Airport City / Aerotropolis development and in generating non-aviation revenues. He is the Managing Director and consultant at Airport City Academy, an airport real estate consulting and educational firm and is project director at SADC, Schiphol Area Development Company, a company that develops completely sustainable and circular logistical and mixed-use areas around Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. He is an international speaker on commercial airport development with topics like regional development, business development, feasibility studies, TOD, commercial landside development, and commercial (terminal) retail strategies.
In the past Pieter worked a.o. for the Schiphol Group. At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol he was responsible for the planning and development of the Airport City.
Pieter completed a Master of Science in Business and Urban Economics, a Postdoc in Financial Management, and a second Master of Science in Real Estate (with honors, cum laude).

Johanna Rajala is District Architect and head of detailed planning in Aviapolis, Vantaa. She has worked in the City of Vantaa since 2007 and since 2019 in the Aviapolis region.
She is working together with a cross-disciplinary team with an ambition to transform Aviapolis Region from a logistics focused area into a green and distinct Airport City. She enjoys bringing people together for the common goal with a closely knit co-operation between the municipality, stakeholders, and local people.
Her special expertise and interests in urban planning include residential environments with a focus on creating a sense of home and belonging, multicultural issues in cities, and making greener neighborhoods and centers.
She has a Master’s degree in Architecture from Edinburgh College of Art (Heriot Watt University) in Scotland and she is currently finishing a Master’s degree in Social Sciences at the University of Helsinki.
The speakers - Day 1
Riku Aho is a sourcing professional who joined Finnair in 2011 and acts currently as VP Energy Transition. In this role he leads the decarbonization strategy related to energy use, which also entails the creation of Finnair’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) strategy. In his previous role in Fleet Management he looked after aircraft trading, leasing and asset management.
Riku has a background in engineering and physics and has held various positions in sourcing and quality management in Australia and Finland. His interests lie in sustainability, energy transition, fleet planning, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and future technologies enabling zero emission flight. He holds an M.Sc (Eng) degree from Tampere University of Technology.
Xavier Hürstel born in 1969, is a graduate of SciencesPo Paris and the University of Paris-Dauphine, and a former student of the ENA (National School of Administration). He spent fifteen years of his career serving the French Government (Ministry of Finance, French Representation to the European Union in Brussels, advisor to several Ministers of Economy, Finance and Budget, advisor to the Prime Minister).
In 2008, Xavier joined the PMU as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and, in 2014, became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He implemented a profound digital transformation of the company in the context of the opening of the online gaming market and supported the company's strong internationalization. In 2017, he joined the Sopra Steria consulting and technology group as Executive Director, where he led the Public Sector business for Europe and the transformation of the Marketing, Communication and CSR divisions. In January 2020, he joined Groupe ADP as Deputy CEO in charge of coordinating development operations across all the group's activities and entities. He sits on the Executive Committee.
He is member of the board of Directors of TAV Airports, listed at the Istanbul Stock Exchange, Merchant Aviation, HAROPA PORT and Flying Whales. Since 1st April 2025, he is Executive Director for Economic and International Relations and Deputy CEO of ADP International.
Cyril Dufau-Sansot has been CEO and co-founder of the Hy2gen Group since 2017. Under his leadership, Hy2gen is a global leader in the development, financing, construction, and operation of 100% carbon-free plants to produce green hydrogen and derivatives. Prior to founding Hy2gen, Cyril served as President and CEO of AREVA H2GEN, where he successfully transformed the company into a leading manufacturer of PEM electrolysers. His tenure at AREVA H2GEN was marked by significant advances in the production of CO2-free hydrogen.
Before his role at AREVA H2GEN, Cyril was the Managing Director at Viessmann Industrie France. At Viessmann, he was instrumental in developing the industrial branch globally and initiating the first Power-to-X projects, focusing on the integration of technology with coherent business models for energy production, storage, and usage, particularly in hydrogen, biofuels, grid flexibility, and mobility applications.
Cyril began his career as a technical expert with the French engineering group FIVES, where he gained valuable experience in the energy sector, managing several industrial companies, including a French biomass boiler manufacturer. He holds an Engineering degree in Energy Systems and Fluid Mechanics from Polytech Marseille.
Hu Rui, Chief Sustainability Expert and Chief Operating Officer of Henan Junheng Industrial Group Biotechnology Co., Ltd., has been deeply engaged in the field of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for many years, combining strategic foresight with strong operational expertise.
He has long focused on compliance in feedstock supply chains, green and low-carbon conversion technologies, and the alignment with international standards. Actively involved in the formulation of national standards and industry policy research, he has promoted breakthroughs in large-scale production, international certification, and green finance, contributing his expertise and leadership to the high-quality development of China’s green aviation sector.
Eira Linko is a project coordinator for the City of Vantaa, Finland, specializing in sustainable urban development. As the local lead for the international Horizon Europe project NEUTRALPATH, Eira works to advance Vantaa’s climate neutrality goals through the co-creation of innovative, low-carbon energy solutions and climate-smart urban planning.
With a background in planning geography, she is skilled at bridging diverse perspectives and translating complex urban challenges into actionable strategies. She is recognized for her expertise in cross-sectoral collaboration and her commitment to building resilient, future-proof urban environments.
Tommo Koivusalo is the Director of Economic Affairs and Development for the City of Vantaa, Finland’s fourth-largest and most international city. He leads initiatives that support Vantaa’s strong business sector and its role as Finland’s logistics hub, home to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
Previously, he held leadership roles at the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and the City of Helsinki, supporting startups and business development. He also founded the StartUp School at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and has extensive experience in corporate management and entrepreneurship across ICT, media, telecom, and market research.
Tommo holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Helsinki School of Economics (now part of Aalto University) and a vocational teaching qualification. He currently serves on the boards of Startup Refugees and TIEKE (Information Society Development Centre).
Jean-François Benon, has served as CEO and Managing Director of CEEVO, the Val d’Oise Development and Attractiveness Agency in the Paris Region, since 1991. He holds a degree in public law from Paris II-Assas University and began his career in regional government and economic affairs.
He leads international offices in France, Japan, and China, and has been a member of the Ile-de-France Economic and Social Council since 1989. Benon is an official advisor on French foreign trade and serves on the boards of EURADA (Brussels), World Cities Alliance (Washington D.C.), and several regional organizations.
He teaches economic development and international commerce at ESSEC and CY Paris Cergy University, and regularly speaks on Japanese and Chinese market strategies. From 2016 to 2019, he was CEO of Security Systems Valley, a Paris Region cluster for safety and risk management.

Dr Filip Czernicki, President of the Management Board of CPK, is a doctor of law, legal advisor and university lecturer specialising in aviation law, company law, nongovernmental organisation law, project management and business consulting.
He has extensive experience in the aviation industry, having led strategic projects at Polish Airports (PPL), including the expansion of Warsaw Chopin Airport and the development of Chopin Airport City. Dr Czernicki chaired the Supervisory Board of Szczecin Goleniów Airport and represented the launch of Modlin Airport. He also oversaw corporate governance and implemented project management at PPL. He is currently the chairperson of the Supervisory Board of PPL.
Dr Czernicki is a certified PRINCE2 project manager and the author of publications on aviation law. He is also involved in the activities of social organisations and is the cofounder of a network of student legal clinics. He coordinates non-profit programmes and has created legal support programmes for refugees from Ukraine. He coordinates pro bono programmes at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw and free legal aid for Ukrainian refugees within the European Lawyers in Lesvos (ELIL) organisation.
Dr Czernicki graduated from the University of Warsaw and the School of German Law in cooperation with the University of Bonn. He speaks English, German and Russian.

Yuki Kawakita is a manager at Narita International Airport Corporation and the NRT Area Design Centre, where he leads strategic planning and regional development initiatives. He joined Narita Airport in 2009 and gained experience in aviation sales, marketing, and through a secondment to Japan Airlines.
Since 2020, he has led the Airport City Project as part of the airport’s expansion strategy. In 2025, he established the NRT Area Design Centre to coordinate development efforts with Chiba Prefecture. Kawakita currently holds dual roles, driving the integrated growth of Narita Airport and its surrounding region.
Christina Suomi is the Project Director of the Helsinki U-space project (2024–2026) at the City of Helsinki’s Urban Environment Division. With a background in architecture and strategic spatial planning, she specializes in integrating Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) into urban planning using digital twin technologies.
She leads the development of Helsinki’s 3D U-space digital twin prototype, preparing the city for low-level airspace operations. Christina is actively involved in European networks such as the U-space Stakeholders Group and EU CIVITAS UIC2. She advocates for cities to play a central role in managing airspace transitions responsibly and collaboratively, despite not owning the airspace. Her team includes Finland’s leading civil-military airspace expert, Mr. Jukka Keski-Jaskari, supporting the city’s pioneering efforts in aviation integration.
Bob Johnson is a senior executive specializing in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), with a focus on developing vertiport infrastructure for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. He has led both private and public companies across aviation, robotics, telecom, transportation, energy, and software sectors, driving growth and innovation. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Volatus Infrastructure and Charging Solutions, which was acquired by EvertiSKY in October 20241. In this role, he helped global companies build strategic partnerships and integrate vertiport and charging infrastructure into national airspace systems, especially in underserved regions.
Bob has been a prominent voice in the AAM industry, featured in Chuck Martin’s book Flying Vehicles (2024), a podcast with eVTOL Insights2, and as a speaker at major events in Beijing, Helsinki, and Atlanta. He moderated panels with leading eVTOL companies such as Archer Aviation and Skydrive, and was appointed to the AUVSI Georgia Board of Directors for 2025–2027.
He began working with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in 2014, participating in FAA programs like Pathfinder, IPP, and BEYOND. As Senior VP at Solusia Air, he received one of the first FAA Exemption 333 certificates for drone inspections, with Southern Company/Georgia Power as the first client. He has held leadership roles at Sharper Shape (Finland), Sarcos Robotics, and Predikto Analytics, and worked with organizations including Blue Origin, Duke Nuclear, and the FBI. He also helped raise $8M in seed funding for Predikto, later acquired by Raytheon.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and is a graduate of the Harbert Business School. He remains active in industry groups such as AUVSI, Georgia DOT’s AAM Working Group, and Georgia Tech’s UAS Working Group.
Anthony Le Caherec is the Airport Business Leader at Bouygues Construction, where he oversees global airport projects focused on performance, innovation, and sustainability. With a background in science and civil engineering, he has over 20 years of international experience in airport infrastructure and project management.
He began his career at Groupe ADP and later served as Regional Managing Director for Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong, leading complex airport developments. Anthony is also President of Proavia, the French airport and ATC association, and a Foreign Trade Advisor for France. He actively promotes sustainable airport areas that balance connectivity, resilience, and community value.
Ms. Tuija Telén has worked as the Regional Mayor of Helsinki - Uusimaa Region in Finland since November 2023.
Prior to this position, she used to work in the municipality sector, for example as the Mayor of Karkkila and as the director of economic development and public relations in Tampere.
Ms. Tuija Telén holds a Masters degree in electrical engineering from the Tampere University of Technology, in addition to which she has also completed the REAP-program in the Sloan School of Management, MIT, Boston.
Raja RABIA, Ambassador of France to Finland since september 2024, has been working for over 31 years in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She served in several positions abroad : Tripoli, London, Brussels-EU, The Hague (OPCW), Cairo, Dubaï as Consul General, Khartoum as Ambassador. Back to Paris, she worked in different sections of the MFA : Directorate of African affairs, Directorate of Middle-East and North Africa, Directorate of Economic issues.
Her awards are : Officer of the Légion d’Honneur, Knight of the National Order of Merit, Gold Medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She is married and speaks three languages (French, English, Arabic).
Guillaume Legoupil has been working for Alstom for 20 years in different sales and business development positions, successively in China, France, Sweden and has been heading the Helsinki office since 2022.
Before joining Alstom Guillame worked for 12 years in the French embassy commercial departments in Thailand, Finland and Singapore.
Kimmo Mäki has worked as the CEO of Finavia Corporation since January 2018. He holds an MSc in technology as well as an eMBA and has extensive work experience of the service and logistics industry. Before starting at Finavia he worked six years for the maritime industry as the CEO of Port of Helsinki. Prior to that he has been developing logistics and customer services in forest industry and retail sectors.
Main drivers of his career have been his interest to transportation industry and improving global collaboration in social and economic sectors.
He gets motivated when the work is important to the society.
Pekka Timonen has served as the Mayor of Vantaa since September 2023. Vantaa is the fourth largest city of Finland, with over 250 000 inhabitants.
For Mayor Timonen, developing better cities has been his passion and profession for many years. During his career Pekka Timonen has served as the Mayor of Lahti, Secretary General at Prime Minister´s Office for the Finland 100 years anniversary year and Cultural Director of City of Helsinki. He has also worked as a business leader.
Timonen holds MA in History. He currently holds the position of Vice President at the Airport Regions Council and is the Chair of the Board of the Finnish Museums Association.
Borhene Dhaouadi is a Franco-Tunisian architect and urban planner specializing in master planning, smart cities, and advanced air mobility (AAM). In 2024, he became an independent consultant, advising on urban development, mobility, and land use projects across infrastructure, logistics, industry, and tourism.
Previously, he served as Director of Urban Development for the Mediterranean region at Setec Inter, leading smart and climate-resilient city initiatives, particularly in Africa. He launched Tunisia’s National Smart Cities Program in 2017 and played a key role in developing the country’s first smart city zone at Lake Tunis.
Borhene has organized international innovation events, contributed to regional development in northern Tunisia, and founded the Bizerte 2050 Association. His career began at COPLAN Group in 2008, and he later co-founded the DTA Group in Tunisia.
Chris Le Tournier is the President and CEO of MXD Development Strategists, with over 35 years of global experience in airport area planning, design, and land economics. He has led development projects in more than 50 countries, focusing on airport cities, aerotropoli, innovation hubs, and non-aeronautical revenue strategies.
Chris has worked with major international and regional airports across North America, Australia, Asia, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. He is a recognized thought leader in sustainable airport development and advanced mobility, frequently publishing and chairing global conferences. He is also the Founding Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Airport Development Product Council and a key facilitator connecting airport development with commercial and innovation sectors.
- Antoine Feral is a Senior Vice President EU Affairs at Rolls-Royce. Antoine joined Rolls-Royce as Vice President for EU Affairs on 1 September 2016. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in December 2024. In this role, he is responsible for all aviation and aeronautics-related topics, including digital transformation, decarbonisation, research, and skills development.
He has over 20 years of experience in EU and public affairs. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Antoine held several senior positions at Michelin:
- From 2008 to 2016, he served as Director for Public Affairs in the Department for Strategic Anticipation and Sustainable Development, working across Paris, Brussels, and Geneva.

From 2000 to 2008, he was EU Public Affairs Manager based in Brussels.
Before his time at Michelin, Antoine worked successively at the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Council of Ministers. Antoine holds degrees from Staffordshire University (LLB 3/Erasmus), King’s College London (LLM), the London School of Economics (LLM), and the College of Europe (Law Department).

Erich Valentin is a seasoned politician, strategic planner, creative director, publisher, and public relations consultant. He currently serves as President of the Airport Regions Council (ARC) in Brussels. He has held numerous public roles, including 12 years as a member of the District Parliament and 27 years in the Vienna City Council and State Parliament. For 20 years, he chaired key committees in Vienna focused on environment, mobility, urban development, land use, city services, and innovation.
He is the founder of the Vienna Mediation Process and the Vienna Airport Dialogforum, and serves as Senior Aviation Consultant for the City of Vienna. He is also a member of the Controlling Board of VOR, the public transport coordination body for Eastern Austria.

Józef Kuraszkiewicz – Master of Science in Urban Planning and Architecture, head of the urban planning team at the Regional Development Office at the Central Communication Port. I create master plans and strategies for the development and transformation of urban areas.
For the past five years, I have been responsible for the planning portion of the development strategy document for the area surrounding the Central Communication Port until 2044.

Hubert Fontanel is a senior director in Groupe ADP in charge of real estate and international development. As a seasoned manager, he is experienced in multidisciplinary team management, management of major projects in the property, urban and transport sectors and property management.
Hubert’s expertise includes financial, social, technical and legal challenges of property operations and manage the profitability of restate investment relating to airport development.
Hubert holds an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs, Paris.
(Carol), was graduated from Beijing Jiaotong University with a master's degree in Business Administration.
Carol has served as the Deputy Director of the Business Service Department at the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (Daxing) Administrative Committee (or Beijing Daxing Airport City for short) since December 2020, where she is responsible for business services, investment promotion, and international cooperation. Prior to this role, she worked as a Project Manager at Beijing New Aerotropolis Holdings Co., Ltd since 2015 , focusing on investment promotion and international cooperation.
Sergiy Ivannikovgraduated with Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Liverpool, UK. He is a founder and managing partner of Ukrainian real estate development company, and over the last 18 years he has been in partnership with Austrian entrepreneurs Dr Alexander Maculan and Dr Richard Teichmann. Currently he is Country Director of Teichmann et Compagnons Property Network GmbH in Ukraine. Main activities: development of complex multifunctional energy-efficient real estate objects. Among the latest projects:

Cooperatively with partner company in Ukraine Sergiy is working on development projects all over Europe and the rest of the world in the areas of:
- Production, storage and consumption of renewable energy at the place of its generation (solar, hydrogen) within circular economy
- Innovative local infrastructural networks that ensure sustainability and security of energy independent real estate objects and urbanizations
Ivan Berazhny is a Senior Lecturer at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), where Ivan has been developing and leading research projects and courses on topics including leadership, entrepreneurship, aviation business environment, corporate social responsibility and other.
Prior background includes studies of international economic relations, communication, and vocational pedagogy. Ivan also holds several professional certifications in aviation and tourism industries.
In Haaga-Helia, Ivan has been engaged actively in curriculum development, export of education, RDI cooperation with industry partners, internationalisation, and other activities.
Sami Kiiskinen, VP of Airport Development at Finavia, is part of the Helsinki Airport executive team. With 18 years of experience in various roles in Finavia, he drives strategic planning, design, and implementation of development projects that enhance airport capacity, efficiency, processes, and passenger experience.

He leads core businesses such as the development and construction of the Beijing Daxing Airport City, industrial promotion, digital economy innovation, and energy facility construction and operation.
He possesses profound insights and rich practical expertise in driving integrated regional development.
Antoine joined Rolls-Royce as Vice President – EU Affairs on 1 September 2016. He became Senior VP in December 2024. He is responsible for all Aviation and aeronautics topics (Digital, Decarbonisation, Research, Skills). He has been working for the past 20 years in EU and Public Affairs.
His previous positions were: 2008-2016 Director for Public Affairs, Department for Strategic Anticipation and Sustainable Development, Michelin (Paris, Brussels, Geneva), 2000-2008 EU Public Affairs Manager, Michelin (Brussels).
Prior to his work at Michelin, Antoine worked successively at the European Commission, the European Parliament and for the Council of Ministers.
Antoine graduated from Staffordshire University (LLB 3/Erasmus), King’s College London (LLM), the LSE (LLM) and the College of Europe (Law department).
He is a French national from the Toulouse region. Antoine is married and has 3 children.
Pekka Timonen has served as the Mayor of Vantaa since September 2023. Vantaa is the fourth largest city of Finland, with over 250 000 inhabitants.
For Mayor Timonen, developing better cities has been his passion and profession for many years. During his career Pekka Timonen has served as the Mayor of Lahti, Secretary General at Prime Minister´s Office for the Finland 100 years anniversary year and Cultural Director of City of Helsinki. He has also worked as a business leader.
Timonen holds MA in History. He currently holds the position of Vice President at the Airport Regions Council and is the Chair of the Board of the Finnish Museums Association.
Yves-Antoine Brun is Senior Vice President at ALTEN, Regional Director for Benelux and Nordics. He comes with an experience of 28 years in the Engineering, R&D and IT services. Except during a 3-years break, as Yves-Antoine was leading the European Business in Engineering of a large Indian company, he is working for ALTEN since 2003 and was previously leading ALTEN GmbH in Germany.
An engineer by education, after his first years in R&D for the Air Traffic Control, he has spent last 25 years dealing with various industries focusing on innovation, product engineering, as well as manufacturing engineering. He is passionate about company transformation, especially related to the impact of AI.
