Service area for upper secondary education

General upper secondary education’s purpose is to strengthen transversal competence and all-round education. Upper secondary education provides general eligibility for further studies in universities, universities of applied sciences, and vocational training based on the general upper secondary school syllabus. The Finnish-speaking upper secondary education in Vantaa includes five regular upper secondary schools and two upper secondary schools for adults.

Vantaa Vocational College Varia offers, in compliance with authorisation to provide education, vocational basic, further, and updating training. Vocational education is carried out in close cooperation with the local industry in the area. Varia participates actively in implementing actions that support the industrial policies of the City of Vantaa. We are responsible, for our part, that all people in Vantaa who complete their basic education have a place to continue their studies, and that those who graduate will have jobs.
