Construction of Vantaa Light Rail will cause temporary traffic changes in the Kaskela area starting on Monday, 27 July 2026. Very deep cross-street stormwater and municipal utility structures and excavations will be built in the middle of Kyytitie.

During these works, a section of Kyytitie must be closed, and vehicle traffic will be diverted via a detour route along Pitkäsentie and the Lahdentie ramp. The detour will facilitate the progress of these complex works and shorten the duration of construction-related disruptions.

The temporary traffic arrangements are expected to remain in place for approximately two months.

During the construction period, local bus services will also operate on a temporary route. The Pitkäsentie bus stops (V9410 and V9411) located on Kyytitie will be relocated from their current locations to new positions approximately 100 metres closer to Lahdenväylä. More information about the changes is available in an HSL news article on the HSL website.

Pedestrian access to the bus stops, the Lahdentie interchange connections and through the work area will be maintained throughout the construction period with the help of signage.

The map at the end of this notice shows the area closed to through traffic and the designated detour routes.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the works and thank you for your patience.
