Construction of the light rail on Kyytitie
Follow the progress of light rail construction between the Heidehof traffic circle and Hakunilantie. In the future, the light rail will travel along Kyytitie, passing through Kuusikko, Porttipuisto and Kaskela.
The Kyytitie worksite is located in the areas of Heidehof, Kuusikko, Porttipuisto and Kaskela in Kuninkaala and Hakunila.

Progress of construction
Information will be updated as construction progresses. The preliminary schedule may change due to weather conditions, for example.
April–June 2026
- Construction work continues at the intersection of Kyytitie and Vanha Porvoontie. This will cause changes to traffic arrangements.
Pelto-oja road is closed to vehicle traffic starting from January 12. - Vehicle traffic on Kyytitie between Jokiniemenkatu–Heidehofintie–Kanervantie will be closed. Access to the Neste unmanned station will remain via Kanervantie (from the east). The closure will last until August 2027.
- A new temporary road is being built on the Tikkurila Oyj site and will be taken into use in spring. Access to the Neste unmanned station will remain via Kanervantie (from the east).
- At the intersection of Sammaltie/Kanervantie and Kyytitie, there will be changes affecting pedestrian and cycling routes. Temporary changes to vehicle traffic may occur in the area, and a traffic controller will be present if needed.
Noisy work April–June
Work causing significant noise will be carried out on weekdays between 7:00 and 18:00.
- On Kyytitie, around the Porttisuontie roundabout, excavation and blasting work will begin on January 20. Excavation will take place from the Porttisuontie roundabout towards the Lahti highway along the roadside next to the lanes. The work is expected to last until the end of April and will be carried out over approximately 20 working days.
- North of the Porttipuisto business area, along Kyytitie, sheet piling work for a retaining wall—causing significant noise and vibration—will begin in week 9 and continue until the end of May 2026. Noisy work in the area will total approximately 40 working days during this period.
- At the beginning of March, work will start near Heidehof Park, on the Santaradantie side, in week 10 and continue at least until the end of 2026. Noisy work during this period will total approximately 40 working days.

You will receive information about possible water supply cuts and disturbances in water supply directly from Helsinki Region Environmental Services. HSY will inform about outages on their website, via text messages and paper notifications.
