The City of Vantaa’s recreational facilities will introduce an electronic recording method for the use of time slots on Monday, 2 June 2025. This means that the persons responsible for time slots must record the number of participants in each time slot in the Timmi reservation system.

Please note that the recording method can only be used for reservations made for one group. It does not apply to, for example, multi-hour usage periods by sports clubs, during which multiple groups may use the facility.

The City of Vantaa’s recreational facilities include indoor and outdoor sports facilities, residential activity facilities, youth centres, children’s cultural centres and school facilities.

Up until now, the persons reserving recreational facilities have recorded the numbers of participants in time slots in journals kept in the facilities. The purpose of the reform is to make the recording of the numbers of users more consistent and to obtain more accurate information on how many people use different facilities.

Enter the number of users in the Timmi system’s online service. To enter data into the system, you need to register as an enterer of user numbers on Timmi. If you already have a Timmi account, you can enter user data without having to register again.

New enterers of user numbers must register on Timmi by Sunday, 11 May in order for new registrations to be accepted before the beginning of June. Instructions for registration can be found at the end of this news article.

Enter the actual number of users into Timmi on your mobile device right after a time slot

The recording of actual numbers of users is done on Timmi using a mobile device with location data enabled. When making a record, you must be within 200 metres of the reserved facility, and the record must be made within two hours of the start of the reservation.

Penalties are being planned for failure to record the numbers of users, to take effect next year. Further details will be released in autumn 2025.
