CultureFamilies with children

Every Vantaa child born in 2023 and after gets the birthday present of being invited to become a Vantaa Culture Kid.

The invitation is given on the child's visit to the counseling bureau, when he or she is two months old, but you can register your child as a Vantaa Culture Kid immediate after birth. Culture Kids can participate, together with their parents, in two free events per year, until they start school.

This spring's events for Vantaa Culture Kids are arranged by Vantaa Pops Orchestra at Cultural House Martinus, Jamkids at Lumosali, Vantaa Art Museum Artsi at Myyrmäki House, Vantaa Music Institute at Cultural center Orvokki, Vantaa Literary Art School at City Museum, Vantaa Dance Institute in Myyrmäki, and City Library in each and every library in Vantaa. There will be a new set of events coming up in the fall.

You can register your child as a Vantaa Culture Kid online at vantaa.fi/culturekids

Wellbeing from being together and happy events

The events have been planned for children of various ages and development stages. You do not have to worry about your child’s behavior or potential crying at Vantaa Culture Kids’ events: the children can be themselves, there is no unnecessary hushing. There are rules, however, but we will give everybody clear instructions and we will act on the children's terms. We have carefully considered issues related to baby care, so that participation in the events is as easy as possible for both the children and their grownups.

New participatory cooperation

Vantaa Culture Kids activities bring new events and new forms of cooperation in Vantaa. Our activities are permanent, and we will develop them together with Vantaa cultural actors, organizations, and children with families. City of Vantaa Cultural Services for Children and the Young coordinates the activities.
