The Vantaa tramway worksite will expand at the intersection of Tikkurilantie and Puutarhatie during the week starting June 22.
The pedestrian and cycling path located on the north side of Tikkurilantie will be taken out of use for a distance of a few hundred meters. An alternative pedestrian and cycling route is available on the south side of Tikkurilantie.

Construction works for the Vantaa light rail on Tikkurilantie began last winter. Since then, we have carried out, for example, utility relocation works and excavation works. In May, the first bridge casting of the Vantaa tram project was also completed at the Kylmäoja bridge.
During the week starting on 22 June, the construction site will expand on both sides of Puutarhatie along Tikkurilantie. On the northern side of Tikkurilantie, the pedestrian and cycling path will be closed for a distance of a few hundred meters. Alternative pedestrian and cycling routes are available on the southern side of Tikkurilantie. On the new work areas, we will begin ground reinforcement works and utility relocation works. This phase is estimated to continue until autumn.
The expansion of the construction area will affect access routes to some properties. The entrances facing the construction site at Tikkurilantie 99 and 101 will be closed, and access during the works will be via the inner courtyards. There will be no access to Tikkurilantie from Rapsikuja or Jänönhäntä during the works; the alternative route is via Mesikukantie and Rapsitie. We apologize for any inconvenience. Access to all properties will be ensured.
