Vantaa light rail works to begin on Osuustie

Vantaa light rail works will begin on Osuustie. According to current plans, Osuustie will be closed to through vehicle traffic during the week starting 8 June. Alternative routes for vehicle traffic are Pakkalantie and Lentoasemantie. Pedestrian access on Osuustie will be maintained.

Vantaa light rail works are ongoing in the Aviapolis area. Next, works will begin on the northern section of Osuustie near Kehä III. Osuustie will be closed to through vehicle traffic.

Preparatory works will begin on Osuustie during the week starting 1 June. During the week starting 8 June, the worksite will expand, and through traffic will be closed for vehicles between Virkatie and Antaksentie. Alternative routes for vehicle traffic are Lentoasemantie and Pakkalantie. Vehicle access via Osuustie to the property at Virkatie 7 will remain in place for the time being.

Pedestrian and cycling routes on Osuustie will be maintained throughout the construction period, but there will be occasional minor changes depending on the work phases. Routes will be signposted on site.

Some work phases cause noise. Noisy work will be carried out on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. We apologise for any inconvenience. Street works are related to the groundwork for the light rail, and construction of a traction power substation will also begin in the area. We will provide more information on upcoming phases later.
