Vantaa light rail works in Tikkurila: check the best routes here

Preparatory works for the Vantaa light rail began in Tikkurila a year ago. Over the past year, the worksites have expanded in stages, and the worksite situation is now stabilising.

We have compiled maps to make getting around Tikkurila easier. All services in the Tikkurila area are open as normal, and access to all properties has been ensured. There is plenty of parking space in Tikkurila

There are many parking garages and on-street parking options in the Tikkurila area. Rataparkki, Tikkuparkki, the Dixi parking garage and many other facilities are located in the immediate vicinity of Tikkurila’s services. Park-and-ride parking is also available on the Jokiniemi side.

Tikkurila station is one of the busiest in Finland, and there are plenty of drop-off points nearby for passenger drop-off. Short-term parking spaces will be added to the park-and-ride area next week. For example, the Dixi parking garage is located at the Tikkurila travel centre and offers 15 minutes of free parking for drop-off traffic.

Some work phases cause noise

Some work phases cause noise. Noisy works include excavation and rock blasting. We mainly work on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. In some cases, work may continue until 8 p.m. Exceptionally, work is also carried out at other times, and we will inform separately about these.
