Tikkurila Competence Campus was chosen to be the new name amongst the submitted suggestions in the name contest.
Basic education’s curriculum and allocation of courses
Vantaa's curriculum dictates schools’ instruction and learning. It specifies the subjects’ educational goals, content, and grounds for assessment.
School transportation benefit can be granted for a shorter school travel in the future
The new grounds for school transportation will enter into force on August 1, 2023.

Kilterin koulu - Summer Instructions for 2026 Middle School Graduates
Joint application results will be released in mid-June. Once you receive notification of your placement, you have exactly two weeks from the release date to accept the offer. If you do not confirm your acceptance within this deadline, you will forfeit your study placement.

Tikkurila Competence Campus project
Competence Campus will be built in Jokiniemi, Tikkurila, between 2024 and 2032. The campus will serve students, businesses, job seekers, and employers.
School dog Varjo brings joy and does important work
Wildfay’s Public House, a.k.a. Varjo, has been working as a school dog for a year, visiting Mikkola School about every other week. The dog facilitates communication with adults, motivates the pupils and, at best, calms the class.
