In schools in Vantaa, preparatory teaching is arranged inclusively in a local school for 1st grade students and in separate groups for 2nd–9th grade students.
If your child requires preparatory teaching, please contact the regional coordinator and report the following:

name of the child, date of birth/personal identity number and mother tongue

address in Vantaa

the guardian’s name, telephone number and email address
The regional coordinator will forward this information to the school receiving the child, which will then hold a welcome meeting. An interpreter will participate in the meeting if necessary.
