Summer activities for young people and young adults
Fun activities will be organised for schoolchildren throughout the summer.
A wide range of activities in youth centres for 10–17-year-olds
This summer, in all areas of Vantaa, a diverse range of activities will be offered to children and young people aged 10–17. There will be open activities at youth centres, mobile youth work and excursions and camping activities, to name a few options. At the youth centres, young people can plan fun activities to be carried out with youth workers.
The mobile youth centre Nutapaku will tour Vantaa from 9 June to 27 July. The activities are aimed at young people from 4th-graders to 17-year-olds. You can also request that Nutapaku visit a specific place in your area during your area’s sports days. On Instagram and Snapchat, you can track the movements of Nutapaku during the day: @nutapaku.
NutaCafé, a young people’s café, will open in June in the Myyrmäki sports park. The employees at this café are young people who are in their first ever summer job. They get valuable work experience and pay for running the summer café. Other city residents get to enjoy the café’s delicious products.
The premises of the renovated Culture Factory Vernissa will house many interesting events and hobbies during July. Among other things, there will be improvisation, art workshops, open mic events and a summer flea market.
Summer activities organised by regional youth work are free and open to all young people aged 10–17. Intoxicants are not allowed. More information on the activities organised by the youth centres is available from your local youth centre and its social media channels.
