Noisy construction work continues on Länsimäentie next week
Ground improvement works on Länsimäentie, near the intersection of Keihästie and Pallastunturintie, are progressing as planned. Next week (week 46), the previous sheet piling works will be followed by piling works as part of the construction of the water and sewer network.
During piling, long steel pipes are installed in the ground to strengthen the soil and support the structures being built. The works will take place on the western side of Länsimäentie, near the intersection with Keihästie.
The piling works will be carried out in phases over several months. Noise from the works may occasionally be heard in the surrounding area. However, the noise will not be continuous, as the work progresses in stages and includes breaks during the working day.
Particularly noisy work will be carried out on weekdays between 7 am and 6 pm.
