Jobs and traineeships at youth services
Here at Vantaa's youth services, we are always looking for new employees and trainees and offer opportunities to complete your thesis or conduct research on youth work.
Recreational activities and hobbies for young adults
Vantaa’s services for young adults offer young adults free recreational and leisure activities in cooperation with different service providers. The free and intoxicant-free activities are aimed at local young adults aged 18–29 and they are open to all.
Specialised youth work
Special youth workers work with young people aged 10–17 in challenging life situations.
Double degree
The adult general upper secondary school of Vantaa and the remote general upper secondary school of Sotunki both offer an effortless way of completing matricular examination during (or after) vocational qualification.
School travel and school transportation
School transportation is primarily arranged by public modes of transport, in which case the student receives a free-of-charge schoolchild's travel card. Compulsory education
Children living permanently in Finland are required to attend school. Compulsory education begins at the beginning of the school year in the year in which the child turns seven. Compulsory education will end when a young person has their 18th birthday, or when they have completed an upper secondary
TUVA education
TUVA education aims to attain such learning skills with which the student performs education leading to an upper secondary education degree.
Apprenticeship training
Both young people and adults can take vocational studies through an apprenticeship. The students prove their competence at the workplace over the course of their training. Vantaa Vocational College Varia's working life services organise apprenticeship training.
Joint application to general upper secondary education and vocational education
Joint application comprises general upper secondary education, vocational education, vocational special needs education, TUVA education, TELMA education, as well as adult education colleges’ open education for those subject to compulsory education.
