Playground meals
Playground meals again available in the summer! Warm meals will be distributed free of charge to under-18-year-old Vantaa residents in various places around the city from June 2 to August 1, on weekdays at 11:00–12:00. Lunches are now also distributed to seniors living in Vantaa.
Learning and school attendance support in basic education
In Vantaa, the support needed by a student is primarily organized at the student's local school with various flexible arrangements.
Assessment and reports in basic education
Assessment is a whole that consists of more than giving grades and reports. Providing constructive and guiding feedback helps pupils understand about their own learning and identify their strengths.
Basic education for grades 7-9
In grades 7 through 9, pupils study common and optional subjects in line with the national distribution of lesson hours.
Basic education for grades 1-6
In grades 1 through 6, pupils have their own class teacher who teaches them most of the subjects.
