The Y.E.S. Day Care Centre was founded and started as a private English kindergarten in 1993. From the year 1997, parents association Y.E.S. ( Young English Speakers) had an purchasing agreement with the City of Vantaa and finally in the year 2003 Y.E.S. became a part of Vantaa City municipal Early childhood education services. The centre also got new premises in part of new Pakkala Learning and Information Centre POINT.
The basic premise of the centre is to provide a cr…eative, safe and multicultural learning and early childhood education environment, which gives support to socializing the child as well as helping him/her to be an individual trough playful, stimulating activities conducted in the English language. Our motto is " Learning by playing".
There are two Finnish speaking groups and five English speaking groups.
The accessible parking space is located outdoors under 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking space is less than 3.6 m.
The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated and it uses movement-guiding surface material.
The main entrance
The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.
In the facility
The customer service point is located on the same floor as the entrance.
The facility uses movement-guiding surface material.
